    Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Director of Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible to plan and formulate production schedules to support customer releases including order changes and work in process.  Maintain check on material inventories, production progress and other factors affecting schedules. Support the company goals of Zero Defects and 100% On-Time Delivery in a cost-efficient manner.

     

    • Plan and formulate production schedules to support customer releases including order changes, work in process/outsource requirements, product development activities and preventive maintenance.
    • Coordinate with internal departments to achieve our goal of 100% on-time delivery and improve current systems and processes to avoid future problems and/or delays.
    • Assemble data for analysis of: stocking orders, manufacturing parameter review, Kanban replenishment and JZ shuttle management.
    • Respond to customer expedite requests (analyze, garner commitment, implement and communicate)
    • Using inventory triggers, ie. Negative on hand and missing labor reports, determine root cause, recommend and coordinate implementation of correction action and monitor results (PDCA).
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area; follow daily housekeeping and 5S standards.
    • Promote and maintain a culture and attitude of continuous improvement, working within the company team to make it more efficient, safety and an enjoyable place to work.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience required; a suitable combination of education and experience will also be considered.
    • Bachelor Degree in a related field is preferred, but not required.

    Strength in the following areas required:

    • Microsoft Office experience (word, outlook, excel)
    • Excellent organizational and follow up skills
    • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
    • Active participant in cross functional teams.
    • Good decision-making skills based on both your leadership skills and your ability to exercise sound judgment in the performance of your job duties.
    • Exemplary problem-solving skills; able to identify problems and implement corrective processes.

    Experience in the following areas is preferred:

    • ERP/MRP Experience
    • Experience with customer websites
    • Working knowledge of manufacturing process, capacity and production control procedures
    • Lean Systems and/or ISO experience
    • APICS Certification

     

    Physical Demands:

    • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
    • The noise level in our work environment is moderate.
    • Safety glasses, hearing protection and closed-toe shoes must be worn on the production floor.
